Hi.

I'm very new to all this, so please bear with me.

I ran across Voltaic HD while searching for an editor for my HD (AVCHD) clips and am quite impressed by what I see but have a question which I am sure one of you knowledgeable people will be able to answer.

Once I have converted my files to WMV in Windows Live Movie Maker and have burned them to DVD, will they play on a PS3 or being WMV, will playback be possible only on Xbox?

Hi there,

your AVCHD files will play back on a PS3 without conversion. The PS3 can play raw AVCHD files with no problem.

The easiest way to do this is to get a USB stick, create a folder called "video" and copy your MTS/m2ts files into this folder.

Plug the USB stick into the USB port on the front of your PS3 and it will detect the drive and let you navigate to it under the Movies area.
