My specs: G5 PowerPC, FCE 4.0, Mac OS 10.5.8.

Just purchased a copy of VoltaicHD. A few questions:

What are the best settings to convert my MTS files to a format I can edit in Final Cut Express? Should I leave the default settings? When I did and converted to Quicktime, I had to render the file in the FCE timeline. Thanks!

FCE movie options

Hi there,

please try your conversion using VoltaicHD 2.

The deafult options should be fine for FCE. The default conversion creates Apple Intermediate Codec Quicktime output, which is the peferred format for both iMovie and Final Cut Express. In FCE these movies should not require rendering in the timeline.

Maybe check your Sequence defaults in FCE?

Please send us a sample AVCHD file that you are using so that we can check on our side.
