Hi,
I have a question:
When I join .m2ts files with the "Native AVCHD" feature (output is a .mts file) there are (error) frames between the different scenes. Is this a known problem? Can I do somthing about it?
progress?
Hi,
Does anybody know if there is progress on this?
Thanks!
AVCHD error frames
Sorry - no release is imminent for this.
We have a number of bug fixes in the pipeline for Voltaic which will be released once Macworld is over.
We have a technical solution in mind for this which involves skipping forward from the trim markers to get the next key frame. The problem is caused by us cutting the MTS stream at an arbitrary point and the 'error' frames are the intermediate frames that the player tries to draw until it hits a keyframe.

Error frames
Hi there,
We are aware of some error frames being produced when using the native AVCHD editing in Voltaic. We will be looking into this in the next version.
The problem is caused by the fact that we don't convert the video at all. AVCHD is a long-GOP (group of pictures) format which means that there is a large number of partial frames between each keyframe. If your edit point falls between keyframes, there will be a few 'junk' frames in the final movie until we hit a keyframe.
We are looking into ways to slide the edit point forward to the next keyframe when trimming the movie. There is a keyframe roughly every second, so the basic editing should be fine.

Justin, Thanks for your
Justin,
Thanks for your reply. It would be great if you can solve the issue. The native AVCHD feature was the reason for me to spend my money on Voltaic HD!!! Maybe you can keep me informed.
