Trying to download VoltaicHD for the Mac so I can try it out:

1. Unable to download successfully. The error message says the .dmb "failed to mount." Tried it with Safari and Firefox and got the same results with both browsers. Any ideas how I can obtain this software?

2. Wondering what the try-out mode offers. Will I be able to determine if Voltaic does everything I want it to do (time-limited tryout license) or will I have to pay to try some features, such as actually saving a clip so I can try opening and editing it in Final Cut (demo tryout license)?

I am on a Mac, 10.6.3, Firefox 3.5.2, and cannot get the download to even begin. What should I do?

We had a problem with our website last night which may have affected downloads. It all appears OK now.

Unable to download II

The same thing is happening when I try to download 2.5.0. It gets nearly through the entire download, then it stops, with the message, "Mounting failed." I really need this software and will probably buy it, but I need to be able to download it. Why is this happening? What can I do if this problem cannot be resolved? I have never had this problem downloading any other software or media.

I am in North Africa. Could that have anything to do with the problem?

The error message I get when I try to open the .dmg file is -4960, if that is any help.

Update: I was able to download 2.5.0 successfully today, but still have a problem with 2.0.2. Looks like I can get it if I persist in trying, however.

By the way, I just want to say you people do a great job with this forum and that was a big factor in convincing me to go with ShedWorx software. I will buy as soon as I can get the complete file and am able to open it and verify it will meet my need. Thank you.

Downloads

Thanks for the feedback - we try to keep a lot of our support questions/answers out in the forum so that everyone can search and find answers quickly.

We've tried downloads from a number of different computers, in a number of countries and we can't recreate your problem. There may be some internet filtering going on where you are which could be affecting the download.
