Hi –
the subject line pretty much says it all… When I plug my Panasonic GH1 into my macbook pro's USB port, FlamingoHD will recognize the device and enable me to import my films. But when I plug the camera's SD card directly into the macbook pro's SD card reader (which is much faster, and therefore preferred), FlamingoHD doesn't recognize it as a device at all. Is there a way to get the software to 'learn' that this is, indeed, the same 'device'?

Many thanks!

In this blog you provide

In this blog you provide really very great information. The Maxtor external drive works better in the USB port on the right. The external ports and connectors of a MacBook Pro and MacBook Pro can be found on both sides of the computer. That was exactly what i needed to know thanks to you for sharing it here.

I'm getting the same issue.

I'm getting the same issue. I have a new (about 2 months old) MacBook Pro with the SD card reader built int. It will not recognize it as a device. Any ideas on why this is happening and how to "fix" it. Also, it does mount as a "card" icon in the OS but not a drive.

Thanks

Internal card reader

Hi there,

We've logged this as a bug and will look into it with SD cards from our test cameras.

What camera is the SD Card from?

Thanks

Justin

Hi there,

does the card mount as a drive on OSX? We've tested with external card readers, but not with an inbuilt card reader. How old is your Mac Book Pro?

I just found FlamingoHD. Looks very interesting, but I'm having the same problem as the OP. This is in a new 15" MacBook Pro (released April 2010).
