I'm using the Demo for Flamingo and it works great.
Saving me tons of HD space.
In order to use the footage in Final Cut Pro, do I need to purchase Voltaic, or can the files be imported into FCP using Log & Transfer (or another method)?

Good to hear that Flamingo is working for you.

To get AVCHD from Flamingo to FCP you have two options:
- "Send to Editor" using Voltaic to put your converted assets into the required destination area
- "Send to Revolver", then use Revolver to create a Camera Archive which FCP Log and Transfer can open

The Send to Editor path is a single click operation, but our converter is slower than Apple's.

Using Revolver allows you to package up the MTS files into a form that FCP can read, so its faster, but requires a couple of steps.

If transfer time is not critical, the Send to Editor option gives the easiest (i.e. single-click) option to transcode and move your assets.

What I get from your answer is that Flamingo can capture my footage, but in order to actually use Flamingo as something other than a storage facility, I will have to purchase either Voltaic or Revolver to move the footage to an editing program.
Is this correct?
Or, and this was my original question, is there a way to access the Flamingo-stored media without purchasing Voltaic or Revolver?
