Just downloaded the trial version, and tested all 4 types of 24p conversion:

Type 2

All the other types introduce interlace artifacts, but not 2. There's still too much compression artifacts for my liking. It would be nice with a setting to determine the codec and/or quality.

Oh, and I should add that

Oh, and I should add that "Auto" does not pick type 2.

Example of compression

Example of compression artifacts seen during movement, which is not present in original.

I just now notice that there

I just now notice that there is in fact a choice of low-high quality setting. My tests were done on low. I just retried on high, and I no longer see the compression artifacts. Good job. It would still be nice to have a choice on codec, but this is good.
Once 4:2:2 chroma interpolation is available in the PC version, I will buy. Great product!

4:2:2

Glad it worked out!

VoltaicHD for PC has its default conversion setting set to Low as that seemed to be what most people wanted.

Once we get through our VoltaicHD for Mac upgrade (happening now) we will re-visit the 4:2:2 chroma feature.

Any chance of adding a little

Any chance of adding a little more flexibility in the transcoding? Perhaps an Ultra-high setting, maybe even choice of codec and/or bitrate?
