So, I've been converting copious amounts of .MTS files and have been pretty successful.

Yesterday I was converting all day and all conversions were successful...all this while working in Final Cut Pro at the same time.

I set up a bunch to convert overnight and didn't change any of the settings from my earlier converting. When I came in this morning, only the first file converted. All the others failed.

However, when I began the process again, beginning with the first one that failed, it converted fine.

Again, I made no changes to any settings....the only difference was that I WASN'T working on the computer...it was left to itself to convert. Could there be issues with a screen saver coming on? I don't know what else would have any effect.

Hi Christopher,

Currently there is a problem on some macs when the screen goes into sleep mode.

We use the QuickTime libraries to do the final stage of conversion and these can fail when the screen goes into sleep mode.

If you go into System Preferences, Energy Saver settings and turn off the "Display Sleep" option it should fix this problem.

We should have this fixed when we release VoltaicHD 2.0 next month.

I just purchased VoltaicHD and all of the mts files I'm trying to convert are failing. My iMac is not in sleep mode during the conversion. Any ideas

your best bet is to find the VoltaicHD log file (at Library/Logs/VoltaicHD.log) and send that in to our support line at voltaicmac@shedworx.com.
